The Geography of Time
I love reading, and I read a lot, but recently I've had a string of bad luck with books. Nothing has captured my attention and pulled me in.
However, I started reading A Geography of Time last week and it immediately sucked me in. It's incredible! Very well-written, well-researched, and engaging. It's a book that changes the way you look at the tempo of life. I highly recommend it.

have you tried the Hunger Games series?
An excellent read- especially if you enjoyed the film Hotel Rwanda is "Left to Tell" by Immaculée Ilibagiza.
