The highlight of Salem MA this year was not the witches, nor was it the Ghost Tour. It was the Derby Square bookstore.
All books are sold at 50% off the cover price. The owner, who has been in business for 35 years, abandoned the "traditional small bookstore" model 3 years ago. He now buys the inventories of bookstores which are going out of business (6-8 stores per year) and sells them at a high discount. All the inventory is new, and the store features over 50,000 titles.

I swear I see a hooded witch in one of those pictures.
Next time, let's go in the day to the Salem Witch Trials History Museum and to the bookstore when it's open.
